Sweet Summer Time

Well if you go by the weather this weekend and the fact that the pools are now open it, to me is officially Summer time!   Scott spent about 8 hours over the course of the weekend working on taking the wood and metal cage off the pool so that he could get in it and start getting the water out  and take what portions of the liner were still hanging on down.  Sad for him that it's pouring down rain outside right now.  So maybe he will be back to where he started from before the weekend.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend. I would like to say thank you to all the service men and woman for all that you do!  A special thank you to my grandparents, parents, husband, uncles, cousins, brother in laws, and friends I am so proud to have or have had each of you in my life you give so much and I am thankful for your service.
We spent the late afternoon at a couple from our community groups house.  We had a great time and stayed pretty late playing Mexican Train ( a dominoes game).  Samuel and I got in their pool and he had a blast!  He did really well, kicked around a little and used his arms, splashed, and yes I dunked him a little more than a few times.  He handled it like a champ and only thought about crying once.  I really think he's going to be a water baby, which you can imagine makes me more than thrilled and want to get the pool up and running that much sooner.  Wish I had gotten a picture, but I guess there is the rest of the summer for that.  At some point you'll be like ok, enough with the pictures of Samuel swimming.  haha  The joys of being a parent.  I really should have a picture a day for the summer, maybe i'll try and do that.  Post a picture a day for those of you that want to follow us through the summer.  If not it will be great to look back on it and it makes me take pictures...I've gotten really bad at doing that for some reason.
Well, Samuel had his last nutritionist visit a week ago!  We were 22.5lbs and i'm blanking on height, I think we were at 29in but don't quote me on that.  He's steadily gaining around a pound a month, which is great.  He is wearing 18 month clothes, the bottoms are a little big but if i roll them once they manage to stay on.  I can't believe how big he's getting and how much he is looking more and more little a little person and less and less like a baby.  I am enjoying it!  He's getting closer and closer to crawling and being more independent.  I'll see if i can upload the video I took of him a few weeks ago going from sitting to all fours.  I am daily reminded of the greatness of our God and how He is at work all the time, even if we don't think He is.
Continue to pray that i would spend the needed and necessary time working with Samuel over the summer, that we would be crawling, walking, or both by the end of the summer.  Mobility is my mission for him!
I will hopefully begin shadowing and then teaching water fitness classes in June for the YMCA. You can keep me in your prayers as well.  Besides the training i received a few months ago I have never done anything besides watch classes from the Lifeguard stand.  haha  I'm excited and nervous about this new adventure.
Scott is keeping very busy these days with work, school, and military courses that he does online.  He is also trying to help his section in the unit prepare for their annual training in August and so has been going in after work to help get things organized and ready for their 10 days coming up in a few months.  He does so much and still manages to set aside a little for us too.  Pray that He would get good rest at night and that he would use his time wisely and productively.
Continue to pray for my parents as well.  My dad had his 6th round 2 chemo treatment last Wednesday.  He has his next CT scan on the 13th of July and then we get the results on the 18th Of July.  Pray with us that all the cancer is gone and that it would not return.  Please continue to pray for rest and good health for my dad.  The week following his treatments is usually hard for both my parents as my dad doesn't feel well and my mom hates to see my dad not feeling, looking, or acting himself.  Pray that they would both continue to lean on the Lord and that He would supply all of their needs.
Thank you for praying with us and for us in the many different areas we have had over the last two years.
We serve a Great and Mighty God, I pray He shows you that in your own life in sweet and amazing ways!

Much Love to all from Kentucky!

The Paige Family
