It's been awhile...Sorry!

Well Folks it's been awhile, for that I apologize!
Life with Samuel and Cooper ( the now 6 month old I watch for a family at church) gets crazier as they both get older and more active. My down time, if i have any usually consists of me doing nothing productive and checking facebook. haha
Samuel is doing really well, we had a fantastic report from his cardiology visit last Friday (April 27th).  The Doctor was delighted to see him getting so big and gaining weight nicely.  He also believes Samuel is 100% pacing on his own, which means he isn't using his pacemaker at all! Praise the Lord! Samuel was sent home with a halter monitor so the doctor could get a 24 hour look at exactly what's going on with the pacemaker, if he's using it at all.  If not we will wait out the 3 year lifespan of the pacemaker and then Samuel will have surgery to have it removed.  Continue to pray that the Lord would allow Samuel to defy all medical odds! The Lord continues to show His faithfulness in Samuel's life and in our lives over and over again.
We will be concentrating on trying to get him walking over summer vacation, I feel very confidant that we will be able to accomplish this as he is already eager to get moving.  Pray that I would remain patient in the daily tasks of physical therapy that I do with him and would cherish the time I get to spend with him.
I only have Cooper for two more weeks before he's home with his mom for the summer.  I will be taking care of him again next year and am looking forward to how he and Samuel can learn from one another.
I recently got my Water Fitness Instructor certification and plan of shadowing for a month before taking on teaching classes at one of the YMCA's close by.  I'm excited and nervous as I've only ever watched classes from the lifeguard stand.
Scott is in the process of putting in his Warrant Officer packet as he is always trying to progress in his military career.  There is a job open in his unit for a Warrant Officer and if he is accepted as a candidate for Warrant School he could potentially get the job.  Pray that the Lord would continue to open the doors and give Scott wisdom in decision making for the future.  If he did get sent to school he would be at Ft. Gordon down in Georgia and we would go stay with my parents.  I secretly really desire this as I would love to be closer to my family for a little while after 4 years of just visiting for holidays and special occasions.  But above all I want what is best for our family and if that means not right now that's okay with me.
I finally got all the Kitchen cabinets painted and hung, I'll try and get a picture sometime before the end of the week and post it for those interested in seeing how it turned out.  I love it and things are shaping up rather nicely around the house, though sometimes slower than i would like. haha
Everything for the most part is going well.  We have stepped down from working in the Nursery at Church for a little while and are enjoying the break.  Altough I always feel guilty when dropping Samuel off that we are no longer serving, I know there is a need in our nursery.
Life for us is now more routine and things are slowly getting to a normal pace as Samuel's appointments space out and become every 6 months or once a year.
I will try to do a monthly post during the summer and really try to keep it up after that.
Hope this finds all of you doing very well!
Much Love from Kentucky,

The Paiges

An Update on my dad!
He is in his second phase of Chemo and so far responding very well to all treatments.  He has become increasingly more tired with each treatment but still manages to go to work or work from home daily.  We were able to see both my mom and dad while my dad was working  here in Kentucky for two weeks.  It was great to have my dad come see our house, mom has been here several times dad's not a traveler unless he has to be.  haha
Samuel enjoyed the time with his Nona and I loved being able to spend time with both of them together.
Please continue to pray that dad would respond well to his treatments and be able to work and go about daily life with minimal interuption.  That the Lord would continue to use his life to speak amazing things about himself and that through the tough days both he and my mom would continue to lean on Him for the strength to make it to the next day. Ultimatly pray for his complete healing!  My mom sent out an email this morning and had shared that one of the men my dad works with who was diagnosed with lung cancer about the same time dad was recently passes away.  It humbled me greatly as I, at times have begun to take for granted the great results he continues to have.  It also makes me sad that I am not closer and cannot enjoy more time with him and that he doesn't get to see Samuel more.  But I have to keep in mind we are both where the Lord wants us to be and so I find peace in that.
Please continue to pray for both the miracle men in my life! The Lord is using them both in such great and mighty ways and I am so thankful that I get to be part of it all.  We serve a mighty, great, and powerful  God and all I can do is Thank Him!  I know I can do nothing without Him!
